The person is a Christian who trusts completely and only in Jesus Christ for his salvation.

If they believe that they earn any merit with God that is a part of their salvation, they're lost.

finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord.

To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.

Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the mutilation, for we are the true

circumcision who worship in the spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh.

The heart of what the Apostle Paul is saying here can be understood in this way.

He is helping us to see who is the true child of God.

It is a clear and penetrating distinction between the false circumcision and the true circumcision.

Between those who profess to be the people of God and those who are and the true circumcision.

Between those who profess to be the people of God and those who are the people of God.

It is a distinction between those who are religious

and those who are righteous.

It is a distinction between those who have an outward mark
