So my emergency alert did happen yesterday on my cell phone at 2.18 p.m. the first one

came through.

Now I know all the tests we thought were supposed to be at 2.20 but they did say approximately

2.20 we all just assumed that it would be right on 2.20 wrong we had it at 2.18 and I

got 1 of 2 the first one that came through was in Spanish and then the second one was

in English and telling me that no action is required by the public.

I thought okay well we're good to go.

Well then at 2.22 I got another alert in Spanish but I did not get another alert in English

so I'm not really sure what that means but they did come through and the man do I feel

better about it.

I feel safer for myself, my family and you listening to chewing the fat.

Now I was looking at what this is supposed to be right it's a system that's supposed

to warn us about dangerous weather, missing children and other critical situations.

The wireless emergency alert system has been used more than 84,000 times since 2012.

I'm not really sure I don't recall 84,000 times the wireless emergency alert unless they're

talking about amber alerts but I guess you know I feel safer.

Well the thing that I found kind of strange is that they had put a disclaimer in for the

alert yesterday that said you should receive it only once.

Well I received the Spanish version twice and it said yeah if the test is postponed due

to significant events like widespread severe weather the backup test date will be October

11th.
