Summary

Today we are going to explore the actual discipline of simplicity by answering questions like, What does it mean to simplify life? How would Jesus have us actually simplify our lives? How can embracing simplicity enrich our day to day experience? May your heart and mind be open to all the wisdom and goodness God has for you today. And may you find comfort in making Jesus your one necessary thing.

Our Scripture for today comes from 2 Corinthians 1:12, and today's worship is Simplicity by Rend Collective.

________

First15 Worship is here!

As believers, we want a real connection with God every day, not just on Sunday. We want the peace and passion that comes from living with God, not for God. But when Monday morning rolls around we’re left thinking:

“Now what?” “How do I find and keep a daily connection with my Creator on my own?”

At First15, we know that meaningful worship isn’t just for Sunday. Every believer should be able to find a daily connection to God with fresh worship created specifically for their weekday.

Often, we are kept from living lives marked by the joy and peace of our Heavenly Father

Humanity's first sin was pursuing more than God intended for us,

1:23.3

and the enemy continues to entice us with that temptation today.

1:43.3

A core value of the world is more, more money, more fame, more friends, more success, more happiness, more possessions, more of anything, because we feel dissatisfied with our lives. We're constantly grabbing for that which will never fully satisfy in the present,

You see, at the core of a continual pursuit for more is a lack of faith in God's goodness.
