Here in the next picture show, we believe that no film exists in a vacuum and that all culture is more interesting in context.

So, every other week, we get together to talk over a classic film

and consider how it relates to a current movie. This week, we're looking at two movies about

bad movies and the people that make them. Each feature men with dreams that outstrip their

abilities, who nonetheless surround themselves with a crew working to try to make those dreams

come true. One wants to be Orson Wells while working on a shoestring budget

and making movies about extraterrestrial grave robbers.

The other wants to be, well, that's not clear.

But he definitely wants to make a movie.
