All right, look at everyone, very hip in their over ear headphones.

I think I feel like the fashion used to be you had to have those little buds and look

like everyone was walking around the Q-tips in their ears, but I think that the norm

core over the head earphones has come back and I for one, I for one, I'm pleased.

I mean, I was never cool, so it's always nice when fashion very briefly goes through its

hip uncool phases because I, who am unhipply uncool, can sort of tag along for a little bit.

This is like the whole story of my late thirties, it's phenomenal.

I saw a story recently about how the cool kids these days are no longer into Bluetooth headphones

like AirPods, but have returned to wired headphones, which a somebody who never used Bluetooth

headphones was news to me, and so I felt briefly uncool and then cool again since all the

cool kids are just using their plain old wired earbuds.

I have to say I'm a fan of the Bluetooth so I can be a bit more mobile, but the TikTokers

are all doing wired headphones, so they probably know better than I do.

Yeah, the problem with Bluetooth though is if you have your headphones paired to a bunch

of devices, like the moment you leave or enter the house, everything just goes haywire,

so I don't have that seamless transition if I want to listen to my pod.

You also now have the problem where I think at least I got some new AirPods and they now

read your text messages to you, which is nothing more infuriating than when somebody sends

a two-paragraph on text and then all your friends like it over the next hour, because it's

just a robot voice reading the same text over and over to you to the point that I took

my headphones off and set them on the counter next to me for like two hours last night

until people stopped reacting to the picture of my friend's kid that everyone was loving

...
