The catastrophe of manhood has reached every segment of our society.

I think the biggest challenge we have is being a man of God today is so far off society's

We as men have got to understand while we're waiting on God, God's waiting on us. He's

waiting on us to step up. We own this. We own the responsibility of calling a culture

in decline back, calling men back.

If we would grab hold of the theology of God as the greatest pleasure of our lives, we would be woefully and beautifully freed from so many of our appetites toward things that are pleasures of sin.

Genesis 18, I'd like to read verses 1 through 8, and then we'll come back a little later in the lesson and pick up a few more verses of it.

It says, and the Lord appeared to him, that is going to be Abraham, by the oaks of memory, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day.

He lifted up his eyes and looked and behold, three men were

standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself

to the earth and said, oh, Lord, if I have found favor in your side, do not pass by your servant.

Let a little water be brought and wash your feet and rest under the tree while I bring a morsel of bread that you may refresh yourselves.

And after that, you may pass on since you have come to your servant.

So they said, do as you have said.

And Abraham went quickly into the tent to Sarah and said, quick, three say as a fine

flower, knead it and make cakes. And Abraham ran to the herd and took a calf, tender and good,
