During the first Trump administration, socialists loved to invoke this as a joke.

The liberal resistance we charged was interested in performative displays of opposition,

blaming Russia for everything, naively hoping Democratic Party adults in the room would take charge and turn back the clock to pre-2016

business as usual. Everything, though, has changed pretty dramatically over the months since Trump

took office again. Much of the liberal base is an open revolt against a leadership that is so clearly failed to stop the inexorable march of far-right politics.

Liberals are voting for Zoran, shifting left on Palestine, increasingly favorable to socialism as the solution to the problem of MAGA.

That's what I'm discussing today, with

Labor and NYCDSA activist Eric Blanc, Indivisible co-executive director Leah Greenberg, and left
