Hey, what's happening everybody?

Welcome into another edition of DeCecho Daily.

It's Andrew DeCecho, and it feels like the Eagles haven't played a game in like a month.

But here we are just a few days away

from Eagles chiefs. You know, I was thinking about that today. That feels like so much time has

passed since the Eagles played a football game, but we'll have a week two match up to talk about.

But before we do that, let's get into some of the news and notes from Thursday at the NovaCare complex.

We'll start with the practice report.

And there was no sign of tight end Dallas Goddard, who's dealing with a knee injury on the field during the media attended portion of practice.

This marks the second consecutive day that Goddard has been sidelined,

and it leaves his availability for Sunday, in doubt, needless to say. And we talked about this on

the previous episode. The Eagles sorely need production from that tight end group. And without

Dallas Goddard there, that severely depletes that room.

And from a broader perspective, the Eagles lost Johnny Wilson, who did a lot of dirty work in the blocking department.

And the Eagles had a vision for him offensively as a blocker in that fullback role,

but also, of course, special teams.

And then not to have Dallas Goddard week two, perhaps.

That's the way things are trending.

It really, again, it weakens their ability to do things in terms of different packages and the blocking,

especially if Goddard can't go, it's going to be Grant Calcutera, who has started games in the

NFL in the absence of Goddard and Kyling Granson, who the Eagle signed in free agency.
