under-discussed as, you know, in light of the new draft picks and the free agent signings,

that I believe could end up having an impact or could serve a vital role for the 2025 Eagles.

the Eagles, in a move that felt expected, exercised the fifth-year option on defensive tackle

Jordan Davis's contract, meaning the Burley defensive lineman will remain

under contract in Philadelphia through the 2026 season.

For those who don't know, the deadline to reach a decision on Davis's option was on May 1st,

well, today.

But according to over the cap, Davis in 2026 is slated to make 12.9 million.

And if he is able to continue his upward trajectory next season, the team will have gotten

tremendous value. There's no way around that.

When you look at what he did last season, Jordan Davis, to close out the year in the NFC title game and the Super Bowl picks up sacks.

But there's obviously considerable projection when it comes to the 6'41-pound Davis, who last season accounted for just 37% of the defensive snaps, which is 388, which I've talked a lot about, despite the opportunity created by Fletcher Cox's retirement.
