Eagles beat reporter, Friendside, the Birds.com. And we're going to talk about a couple of

different things today.

It's kind of like a smorgasborg, if you will, of topics.

But I want to get into specifically a prospect on offense and a prospect on defense as it pertains to the NFL draft and why I like the player and their fit for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The first player is a wide receiver by the name of Ted Hurst.

Now, he went to Georgia State.

And years ago, when I was covering the different conferences, I focused on the Sunbelt

conference a lot. So I was privy tobelt Conference a lot.

So I was privy to the Costa Carolina guys and just a lot of those type of players that kind of go under the radar.

So I was sort of clued into Georgia State.

And Ted Hurst, I was aware of.

He goes to the Senior Bowl and by all accounts, performs well there.

But this is a 6'4, 200 plus pound wide receiver.

Had 71 receptions for over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns last year.

And what I like about him is his ability to separate.

He can get vertical.

You like the length.

He's a very lengthy wide receiver, but he can really stretch teams and put a unique

stress on defensive backs.

But he's explosive off the line.

I like his ability after the catch.
