Great to be with you on this beautiful Monday afternoon.

And as you may have heard, there is some notable news coming out of Eaglesland.

The Eagles on Monday afternoon agreed to a multi-year extension with head coach Nick Siriani.

Now, if you listened to what chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie had to say during the owner's meetings just a couple of months ago back in March, this shouldn't really be a surprise, but it's always noteworthy when this type of news comes out.

And it's important to reemphasize that Siriani piloted a prolific 2024 campaign that that of course resulted in the Eagles winning Super Bowl 59 handedly over the Kansas City Chiefs.

But also, you have to mention Siriani's resume.

He owns a career record of 48 and 20, including a 6 and 3 postseason record, and the fifth year head coach is going into his

fifth season, believe it or not, has a resume that includes two Super Bowl trips.

And if you want to talk about winning percentage, listen to this for a second.

Siriani sits fifth all time at 706 for a winning percentage.

A phenomenal start to his career, and the Eagles obviously believe that the best has yet

to come or will continue to come for Nick Siriani as they commit to him for the foreseeable

future.

I have a lot to say on this topic because I was a Siriani supporter in the sense that I believe that the Eagles should have,

and they did, but should have stayed with him after that 2023 skid, which of course was unprecedented

and many didn't believe that Siriani should have been retained.

But I was in a different camp because you also have to look at the Eagles and how they typically do things and owner Jeffrey Lurie.

Sure, he has a desire and a hunger to win, but he also has emotional intelligence.

He also didn't strike me as someone who's going to make a hasty decision when you base it off of the history that he's had, when you take that into consideration.
