This is Andrew DeCecho with another edition of the Checo Daily.

And yesterday, we revisited the 2023 draft and sort of outlined the different roles for the players who were selected.

And it's very interesting to see how well this could really pan out for the Philadelphia Eagles because all the players are positioned to undertake prominent roles.

because it should give you some excitement moving towards training camp.

Now today, I wanted to do something a little bit different

because there's a certain element to the Eagles,

there's a certain facet that we probably don't spend enough time talking about,

but it's worth exploring, and that is the return game this year and sort of sizing up

some of the players who are expected to be involved in that competition. And first and foremost,

it's going to be Avery Williams, who the Eagle signed as a free agent. He was with

the Falcons. And that's a player who's pretty interesting because I remember watching him with

the Boise State Broncos a number of years ago when he was a cornerback. And then the Falcons

at one point used him as a running back, a position that he played while he was in high school.

But they also featured him as a returner.

So Nick Siriani added some more entry to this signing when he was almost gushing about Avery Williams at the owner's meetings back in early April.

And it suggests that the Eagles

have plans to kind of sprinkle in Avery Williams offensively and get him some touches as a

manufactured player.

And obviously, that's something different in a different angle that maybe we didn't think of

...
