Hey, what's going on, everybody.

Welcome into this edition of DeCecho Daily.

It's Andrew DeCecho, checking in after game one, the season opener in which the Eagles

hold on beating the rival Dallas Cowboys 24 to 20.

And look, the atmosphere was tremendous. Fans turned out early as expected. There was a lot of

pregame festivities that included the light shell and of course the unveiling of the

2024 world champion Super Bowl banner.

And the stage was set. It was electric.

And to kind of set the scene even further,

the game couldn't have gotten off to more of an ominous start for the Philadelphia Eagles.

You hear gonna fly now, which the Eagles play before every opening kickoff. The place was juiced.

They run down the field on the kickoff.

And then there's an injury sustained to fullback and special teams ace Ben Van

Sumeran.

And, you know, those who have, you know, followed along with my coverage, you know,

that I've gotten to no-ben over the past

few years talking to him. It's tough, man. It is absolutely tough. And it was difficult to see because

this is a player who beat his timeline. Remember, he suffered an injury in November just before

the Ravens game that cut his season short.

He worked his way back to training camp and the Eagles had plans for him, only to have that

at least spoiled on the surface with that injury on the first play of the game.

And we'll have to wait and see what happens there. But that's a tough
