Hey, what's up, everybody?

Welcome into this edition of DeCecho Daily, a post-game edition of the Checo Daily.

It's Andrew DeCecho, recapping the Eagles 21 to 17 loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos.

Moving on to 4-1 Thursday night, they'll have the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium

and have a short week and a quick turnaround to sort of get this bad taste out of their mouth.

But let's get to it because this

was not a pretty game by any standards for the offense. Just nine runs from all three of

their running back. Sequan Barkley had six carries for 30 yards, A.J. Dillon, two for 12 and

Will Shipley one for zero. Jaywin Hertz had a couple of runs on his own.

But you look at that combined with what Jalen Hertz, he dropped back over 30 times in this game.

And there was not a lot of balance there. It almost felt like they were overcorrecting and trying to get that passing game going, trying very hard to do so at the expense of trying to stay committed to their foundation.

And that is the ground attack.

And obviously it was not going well.

I just read for you the numbers.

And they lost Landon Dickerson early in that game to an ankle injury and he did not

come back in that game. So that put Brett Tooth in there at left guard. They were already

ineffective running the football. That certainly didn't help matters. They also lost tight end

Grant Calcutterra with an oblique injury. Grant had two catches for 18 yards early in that game.

So let's look at it because this was a tale of two halves. And this sounds like, you know,

deja vu because we seemingly talk about this each and every week with this Eagles offense.

They got the game started pretty effectively with the passing game.

I thought Jalen Hurst was decisive.
