here, Eagles beat reporter for Inside the Birds.com. And the Eagles fall to the Chicago Bears on Black Friday

by a score of 24 to 15 and they now fall to 8 and 4 on the season. The Chicago Bears improved to 9 and 3 on the season.

And this game was concerning on a number of different

fronts. And I think first and foremost on the defensive front, because now for the second

consecutive week, you've seen the Eagles and the trenches get sort of handled.

And that's very uncharacteristic for a Nick Siriani team for an Eagles team that prioritizes and really puts an onus on physicality.

That wasn't the case this week, nor was it the case last week, though this week was much

more substantial.

Chicago Bears running back to DeAndre Swift had

125 yards rushing and Kyle Menungi, their rookie running back who packs a punch, had 130 on the

ground and a touchdown, both running backs for that matter scored touchdowns. And the Eagles have

to get that cleaned up because in a game coming up against the

Chargers in L.A. on Monday night football, the Chargers will also continue to run the football.

And it was a little concerning. And I know I'm a little bit all over the place here, but we'll

get to some of the takeaways. But it was concerning because the Eagles were facing a Chicago Bears defense that was

undermanned at the linebacker position and they were unable to exploit that area of their

defense.

So let's look at it for a second because in the lead of my story for Inside the Burrs.com, I said, Tom Petty's won't back down,

posts from a tailgate in a neighboring lot.

And to me, it foreshadowed what was to come, at least what I thought was to come,

the Eagles really taking the bull by the horns and defending their home turf, if you will.
