I, of course, am Andrew DeCecho.

Hope everyone's enjoying the position preview series on Inside the Birds.

I'm enjoying writing about it and I'm enjoying

talking about it with you all. And today, as promised, we're going to talk about the tight end group,

a group that is extremely diverse. And I'm very much looking forward to seeing how all of these

different pieces fit into the equation because you have experienced veterans. You have free agent

additions. You also have some young players

that I think are pretty exciting. So let's kind of break this all down. We're going to start with

the headliner, and that's Dallas Goddard. Now Dallas Goddard has an ability to really transform

this offense. And what do I mean by that? Well, he has the

vertical element, of course. He's also very effective after the catch. And I think that he has

been underutilized in the red zone. So while there may not be more volume, perhaps because there's

only one football, the passing game does run through Dallas Goddard being one of those players,

AJ and Devante,

but I think that you can get a little bit more creative in how you utilize Dallas

Goddard because he does have that rapport with J.1 Hertz.

He is somebody that I think when you get him going early,

that type of juice tends to radiate throughout the Eagle sideline.

So I think that he's going to have another big season, if healthy,

and he has these dynamic qualities that I think the Eagles may look to exploit
