What's happened, everybody?

Welcome into this edition of DeCecho Daily, Andrew DeCechko here, bringing you a training camp edition.

Man, it feels good to say that.

That's right. The Eagles had their first training

camp practice today. Football is officially back in South Philadelphia, where it should be. And all

is right in the world. And there were some really notable pieces and nuggets to glean from this practice.

Obviously, I wrote my observations as I always do on inside thebirds.com.

And so Nick Siriani and Howie Roseman, they met with us before training camp,

and they had some interesting things to say.

If you really listen, the messaging throughout from Hallie Roseman and Nick Siriani to every player who was available,

they all echo the same sentiment.

They are focusing on what's important, what's ahead.

They're not saying the word repeat. They're not saying the word repeat.

They're not saying defend their title.

They are trying to be where their feet are, putting in daily work and focusing on getting better as a team.

So you won't hear anything Super Bowl related inside that building from any player or organizational figure for the Philadelphia Eagles.

So you can expect that to persist throughout the season.

But then you get some interesting, well, not interesting, but expected news because ahead of practice,

the Eagles play linebacker to Kobe Dean, who, of course, is recovering

from that torn Patelor tendon on the active physically unable to perform list. And they also signed

defensive tackle Joe Evans, so they added some depth there, and they waived injured guard Marcus

Tate. Marcus Tate, by the way, didn't participate in any of the spring practices.
