Daily. Andrew DeCechko here, obviously giving you all of the news and notes for the Eagles.

And today, in this case, it's an

update because Howie Roseman never sleeps. You have your August trade. I'm sitting there writing my

story on Drew Kennel, which if you're listening to this Tuesday morning, it's on inside thebirds.com.

And now I'm going for a nice stroll here on this beautiful Monday evening,

but I didn't want to leave you hanging. The Eagles pull off a trade. They send defensive tackle

Thomas Booker the fourth to the Las Vegas Raiders for cornerback Jacori and Bennett,

who I really like coming out of the 2023 draft, fourth round pick.

Obviously, if you follow my work, you know that I follow the Maryland program pretty closely.

And this is a twitchy athletic corner that the Eagles are getting.

And he has really good ball skills.

11 pass breakups.

He's played in two seasons.

24 games, 11 starts. 5 foot 11, 195 pounds. Fast. This is a fast corner and he's an outside corner, which makes this edition interesting. So obviously, the first question is, how does he fit? And will he be involved in the two-man cornerback competition with Keeley Ringo and veteran

of Dori Jackson?

My answer is, I would assume so, because when you add a player of that quality who has

started games in the NFL, I think that it lends itself to adding another name into the mix,

which is also interesting because

Eli Ricks, the Eagles third year corner, is also put together a nice camp. But I never got the

sense that Vic Fangio was overwhelmed by the cornerback play that he was receiving from Ringo and Jackson.

And at every turn, he sort of offered a relatively lukewarm response and even today
