Hey, what's going on, everybody?

Welcome in to another episode of DeCecho Daily.

It's Andrew DeCecho here, Eagles Beat Reporter for Inside the Birds.com.

And I know that I did a podcast with Adam and Jeff right after Eagles OTAs, the second practice that was open to reporters, to kind of clue you all in on what happened.

But I'll do another one where I'll maybe explore some elements that I didn't touch on when speaking to the guys.

And I mentioned the attendance, and it it is voluntary it's important to note that

but notably no lane Johnson Jalen Carter Fred Johnson Holland Pierce and Joe Tryon show

you inca they weren't in attendance at all but mandatory minicampus what you really want to focus on next week as it pertains to that.

But Mackay Lemon, Eagles first round wide receiver, did not practice with what Quinnion Mitchell eventually revealed to us was a hamstring injury.

I would imagine that that's something that the team's going to want to take a more gradual approach with and not rush him back onto the field.

Hamstrings can be fickle.

And so because of that, you kind of want to take more of a cautious approach.

But these are valuable reps, needless to say, for a young receiver, so you would like to see him out there.

But sometimes those things just flare up and you don't want to run the risk of that.

The Eagles first started out with the seven-on-seven period,

and during that period, on the very first play, Jaywin-Hurts throws an interception

to linebacker Jeremiah Trotter, Jr.

And I should note that when the defense opened, they opened in base. So Cooper DeGine was

aligned at safety opposite Drew McCuba, and then when they shipped it to nickel, Cooper

DeGine moved down to nickel. And Marcus Epps came on as he did in the previous practice

that was open to the media.

I don't think it was a great day for the offense, but I don't think it was a poor day.
