Welcome in to another edition of the Checo Daily.

It's Andrew DeCecho here, Eagles beat reporter for Inside the Birds.com.

And there's some injury news here as it pertains to the Eagles.

Rookie safety, Drew McCuba, as reported by NFL Network.

And then confirmed by Nick Ziriani during his 315 post-game availability.

Drew McCuba suffered a fractured ankle.

So he's going to have surgery and his timetable is

undetermined, but he'll be headed to injured reserve.

And they kind of left the window open for return possibility, though that would have to be

a deep postseason run and a lot of factors would have to play into it.

But at least the way that I'm

viewing it right now, it seems to be a season ender, but we'll have to wait and see how everything

plays out. I think there's still a little bit that has yet to be determined. But let's talk a little bit

about Drew McCuba and the rookie season that he had because I thought that early on you can make a case

that you could see the rookie tendencies reveal themselves.

There were some blown coverages.

There were some mistackles.

I can think of the mistackle against Wondell Robinson in the first Giants matchup.

And maybe a couple in the Chiefs game.

They surfaced throughout the season, but I thought that he really started to tighten

things up.
