Reporter for Inside the Birds.com. I'm not going to spend a ton of time talking about this,

but I do want to touch on it. Kevin Petulow has landed

on his feet. Puri report from NFL networks Mike Garifolo. Petulow will become the past game

coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, working under Bobby Sloick, who was newly appointed

offensive coordinator, and also included in Garifolo's report was that Petullo spoke to,

quote unquote, multiple teams regarding assistant roles and that part of his responsibilities will be

helping first year head coach Jeff Halfley with head coaching responsibilities throughout the week and

on game day. So there is your Kevin Petulow news, and I think that should dispel any notion that

he was going to fade into obscurity and that no team would touch him with a 10-foot pole.

I think that also suggests that coaches around the league, or at least all it takes is one team, really, are aware that

the Eagles' offensive struggles last season were multi-layered. I've talked at length about that

throughout the season. No, he did not perform well in his role in his first year as Eagles

offensive coordinator. The offense was 24th in total offense and towards the bottom tier of the league in other categories.

And I thought that play calling left a lot to be desired, but it's a little naive to think that

he was the sole reason or the primary culprit for things not going according to the plan for

the Eagles.

And I think that there was a lot of venom that was spewed at the direction of Kevin Patullo that crossed the line of excess.

And I thought in some cases it was misguided.

And I sort of maintained that stance throughout the season, gathering information throughout the year.

And just, you know, just watching the offense operate from afar.

I mean, it's a nuanced conversation, and it's so easy to point the finger at one person and say he's the problem.
