Final transactional news for the Eagles, and they elevate safety Andre Sam from the practice

squad ahead of tomorrow's game that's Andre's third and final elevation for the season if they

want to activate him for more games this year they're going to have to sign him to the 53 man roster

so he's the second

year safety, played 14 snaps against the Chargers on special teams, picked up his first NFL

tackle on kickoff. Great story for those of you who don't know, and I've sort of outlined this

at different points over the past year and a half. But Andre was a highly coveted,

undrafted free agent coming out of LSU. He started his career at McNeese State. Then he went to

Marshall and then LSU. And so he spent a lot of years in college. He entered the NFL about

25 years old. But I believe he was the LSU defensive player

of the year in 2023. So he's a player that I really like coming out of the draft, and he's been

on the practice squad all of last season, all of this season. Lockers right next to Mack McWilliams.

And by the way, the Rookie Diary Series will

continue. It's just I wasn't there for a couple days this week as I was under the weather,

doing better. But that'll pick back up next week. But yeah, Andre is just a player who

works really hard in practice. I understand he's well liked

he's picked up the system very well I think he's probably a better special teams player even than

Tristan McCollum who he was sort of battling with for a roster spot last summer I think that

Andre is actually just a more natural fit for special

teams. I would probably say that Tristan might be the better safety at this point. But I think
