This is the Checo Daily.

Very active day around the NFL as the legal tampering period opened officially Monday at noon.

And there's a lot of movement going on on maybe not so much for the Philadelphia Eagles as far as incoming but outgoing there were quite a few moves

and we're going to talk about that in the second but first let's talk about the deal that was struck

Monday evening around dinner time the Eagles send quarterback Kenny Pickett

to the Cleveland Browns, adding a fifth round pick and quarterback Dorian Thompson,

formerly of UCLA, in return. So Robinson presumably will become the quarterback three behind Tanner

McKee. And the Eagles add another fifth round pick to their

arsenal.

They now have four of those.

So one has to wonder whether or not some of that will be used as ammo, perhaps in a trade

or to kind of move around the draft board.

But I like that trade for the Eagles initially.

Dorian Thompson Robinson has only thrown for 880 yards in his career.

One touchdown, 10 interceptions. He's appeared in 15 games, five starts.

Perhaps you throw away that Brown's tenure and you look at what he could be walking into with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Obviously, there's Scott Leffler, the quarterback coach, and there's just a better,

more sound coaching staff that perhaps can kind of accentuate what he does well and put him

in position to where he can maybe have a quarterback competition.

But right now, Tanner McKee is locked in as the number two, but still, we're at March 10th.
