What's up, everybody?

Welcome in to another edition of DeCecho Daily.

It's Andrew DeCecho here, Eagles Beat Report for Inside the Birds.com.

And if you listen closely, you've probably heard a collective sigh of relief across the Delaware

Valley and beyond because late Thursday morning, Lane Johnson, the Eagles All-Pro right tackle

informed Jeff McLean of the Philadelphia Inquirer that he will be returning for the

2026 season.

And then about an hour later, Derek Gunn, who does Birds Weekly here for us at Inside the Birds, reported that Landon Dickerson, who had contemplated walking away from the game, we'll be returning for 2026.

So a lot to unpack here.

We'll first start with Lane Johnson.

Lane Johnson, his resume speaks for itself.

Six pro bowls, five-time all pro, a future Hall of Famer, and he's still playing

at the height of his game.

Now, he was limited to 10 games last season.

He suffered the injury, which was a Liss Frank sprain against the Detroit Lions and the Eagles 16 to 9 win.

And he missed the final eight regular season games, missed, of course, the postseason game.

And while Fred Johnson filled in ably at right tackle, he's no Lane Johnson.

Lane Johnson was sorely missed.

And the Eagles are getting a player who at 35, soon to be 36 years old, is still a

preeminent player and arguably the best right tackle in the game still,

and certainly amongst the best right tackles of all time.
