Hello everyone and welcome into DeCecho Daily. I am your host, Andrew DeCechko. And today, to start things off this week, I am going to discuss some of the remaining holes on the Eagles roster

as it currently stands. Remember with Hallie Rosemont's important note that the offseason is never

quite over. The season doesn't start until September, but after the draft, we're going to look at

some of the areas that could stand to be addressed as they are a little bit light

in terms of depth. The first position I'm going to look at today is wide receiver. Obviously

beyond Devante Smith and A.J. Brown and Jehan Dotson, there's a bit of a question as to whether

or not the Eagles have enough behind

those three. In other words, if AJ or Devante were to have to miss time for any reason,

or miss a series or missing, you know, a large chunk of the game, would you feel confident

in second-year-wide receivers Johnny Wilson or Ania, stepping into the forefront or cast off Terrace

Marshall, who was a second round pick of the Panthers a couple of years ago, stepping into the

forefront. I think that might be a little presumptuous to assume that either of those players,

any of those players could step in and give the Eagles meaningful snaps. And that's also

not to say that every team across the NFL, if you look at it, are a little bit devoid of depth

in certain areas. But Johnny Wilson, very limited experience last season. He would be next in line

as the fourth receiver. There's Danny Gray,

who was on the practice squad last year, who you all know, I think, very highly of. He's fast. He's,

has the pedigree being that third round pick in 2022. He's a three-level threat. And he gave all

of the starting defenders that secondary gave him fits at different points of the season. But again, who can you count of the aforementioned that you would feel confident in

stepping into a more prominent role if circumstances dictated?

I think that's an area that you could see the Eagles adding another player to add some competition.

But again, you have to let the players who are already there give them the opportunity in training camp to really cement their status
