Today, we are greatly blessed. Not only is it the last

day of our first ever deacon's retreat here at our headquarters, but we have our featured speaker,

Deacon Harold Berg-Sivers. It is such a joy to have you join us for the retreat, but also for

this episode of The Road to Amas.

And I just want to say you have a degree from Notre Dame, but you also have a master's in theology

from the University of Dallas.

And how long have you been a deacon now?

22 years now.

22 years.

Yes.

Now, you've authored a number of books, award-winning books, and this sort of thing.

But you also

travel the country, you travel the world, about a quarter of a million miles per year, if I recall.

Yeah, and so we are so honored to have you back here. The first thing I'd like you to do is to share

a little bit about what you have done with us in the past. I mean, you've attended seminars, you've attended conferences as well,

but in particular, I'm thinking of the Amas Academy course that you taught and that we recorded,

something about evangelization and scripture, evangelizing with scripture.

Would you tell us about some of the ground that you covered?

Sure. One of the buzzwords

in the church today is evangelization. Right. We're supposed to be ministered evangelization. We're

supposed to be evangelizing people. And sometimes we use that word so often that it kind of loses
