Summary

Damon Thompson Ministries - 12/2/15 Damon teaches on the three main types of prayer at Wednesday Night Prayer at Hope Chapel. How many times have we resisted God's urging and invitation to come away with Him into a new and deeper level of personal devotion? Are you ready to yield so deeply to the "in-Him" dimension that you completely lose yourself in who He is and you begin to live for what can never be taken away?

I'm going to start tonight and I'm going to read.

0:08.5

There were two things that the Lord showed me coming out of October that I thought were crucial for our people.

0:18.1

Two things he wanted to accomplish.

0:19.6

One is to make sure that there was no seed of a

0:22.8

hybrid present within the Sunday morning. That there still was just enough of the old business

0:31.1

as usual church thing on Sunday morning that it still frustrated me. And I wanted to make

0:36.9

sure that we didn't

0:37.8

create two churches here, the Carolina Revival Group and the Hope Chapel group. Hope Chapel exists for

0:44.1

this one great purpose, that is to serve the Carolina Revival, not the other way around.

0:50.4

Hope Chapel is here to be an engine to help serve what the Lord is wanting to do in the earth through Carolina Revival.

0:57.1

Why is that important?

0:58.9

It's important primarily because there's a thousand other churches doing the regular Sunday morning church thing.

1:06.5

There's not a thousand other churches doing the outpouring of the spirit thing.

1:10.3

So it was important for me that if there was any seed of the old way of business as usual Sunday morning, yeah, that's what we do in revival, but we have to have regular Sunday morning to meet the needs of the people.

1:23.9

I completely disagree and believe that what goes on in the general church on Sunday

1:30.3

morning is a less biblical expression than what we experience in weekends of revival. According to the

1:37.3

standard of the book of Acts, what's traditionally going on now on Sunday morning may be more socially

1:43.5

acceptable, but it's less

1:44.8

biblically accurate. So according to the Bible, the book of Acts met around the outpouring of the

1:51.1

spirit. They met around the move of God. They framed everything they did within a local

1:56.7

assembly around the assignment of hosting the move of the spirit of the living God.
