Luke 9, 28, and 29.

I'm going to read this first out of the new King James, very familiar piece of text,

and then I'm going to read it out of the Passion Translation.

Luke 928 says, now it came to past about eight days after these sayings that he took peter john and james

went up into the mountain to pray and as he prayed the appearance of his face was altered and his robe became white and glistening

let's read a little bit further just because we can behold two men talk with him who were moses and

Elijah who appeared in glory and spoke of his decease.

Exidios. That word right there literally means Exodus.

Spoke of his decease which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. He did not accomplish his

death. He yielded to his death and a better translation would have been, out of the yielding

to that death, he then accomplished an exodus for an entire generation that would lead

from generation to generation being set free.

So it's actually, listen, it's actually death that generates exodus.

And the reason why people can't get into a real

systemic exodus is because they can't get into a personal death. Whatever it is that God is wanting

to get you out of, he's first trying to kill something in you that craves that you remain in that world.

See, when, this is not what I came to talk about.

I really need to stay on point, but I'm probably not going to.

When Saul was chasing David,
