Summary
In 1855, the town of Devon, England experienced quite the dark mystery. After a heavy snowfall, a trail of hoof-like marks, resembling cloven hooves, appeared across an estimated 40–100 miles of countryside, spanning multiple towns and villages. The tracks, about 4 inches long and 3 inches wide, with a stride of 8–16 inches, were found on snow-covered fields, rooftops, walls, and even crossing rivers, defying logical explanation. Locals, gripped by fear and superstition, attributed the prints to Satan or a supernatural entity, as the pattern seemed impossible for any known animal or human to create. Did the devil visit Devon?
