There's a really, really good article by Pastor Corey Brooks.

I absolutely love Pastor Corey Brooks, and every time he writes something, I just find myself in complete agreement.

I think he is just so spot on and really has his finger on the pulse of what's going on in America.

And of course he gets a lot of backlash for that, and people call him all kinds of names and whatever he's he's no stranger to

criticism but this article caught my attention because it's something that i've thought about my

entire life and especially being a father myself this really hits home the title of his article is

dads aren't optional.

And America's kids are paying the brutal price.

Amen.

Dads are not, in fact, optional.

In fact,

dads are essential.

Having a father in the life of a child, it matters.

And there's plenty, plenty of research that shows this, but aside from research, just our own experiences demonstrate this. The kids without a father, without

a father figure in their life, it's much harder, not saying that it's impossible at all.

There are plenty of kids that grow up without fathers who end up being really, really good, decent human beings.

But it's very difficult.

There are a lot of roadblocks and a lot of things that provide instability

whenever a father is not in the life of a child.
