Thailand 2006. When I was being wheeled into the operating room,

I started having these thoughts thoughts don't do it. I didn't listen

Back then Daniel was known as Danielle. He was living as a woman and the operation he underwent a

vagina plastic removed his male genitalia.

It was very difficult waking up from that surgery because I looked at my thighs were black and blue and I was like, oh my gosh, what have I done?

And then after the operation, how was life for the first six months after the operation?

It was a bit of a relief, but then about six months the depression set in. Daniel was a trans woman.

Now he's a detransitioner, someone who identified as trans,

but has returned to the gender they were assigned at birth in his case male
