NBA champions. Fortunate, yes, fortunate that they faced a team that didn't have Kevin Durant and were missing Clay Thompson for the fourth quarter of the deciding game last night. Yes, that's true, but deserving. That was a damn good basketball team that we watched over the last couple of months and then watched in particular in these NBA finals with a true superstar playing really over the last two months

better than he's ever played before.

Kauai Leonard, though, didn't do it by himself.

You know, this wasn't LeBron leading Amman Shumpert and Matt Delavadova and Timothy Mosgob

and Mike Miller to within two games of a title back in 2015.

Leonard had help.

Kyle Lowry was spectacular in these finals. Last night, scoring the first 11 points,

setting the tone early. Siakum was great at times, especially last night. Mark Gasol,

Serge Abaka. How about the series Abaka had? And then Fred Van Vleet was so clutch last night, Mark Gassol, Serge Abaka. How about the series of Baca had? And then Fred Van Vleet was so clutch last night and throughout these NBA finals. They were all instrumental in Toronto

winning a title. They stepped up big time in these finals, even more than they had in the Raptor's

previous series wins over the Bucks and 76ers.

Fortunate, yes, that they got to face a championship team, a dynastic team, at less than full
