Hello everybody and welcome to the Dennis Prager Show. As always I say I hope you had a good weekend

and I will acknowledge that my weekend was was darkened. A rare moment because I always say

I had a great weekend because I always do. A friend of mine, a good friend of 40 years died

this weekend, Larry Greenfield, who is known to many especially in Southern California

as one of the most vibrant conservative voices and just wonderful human being. That's what he was.

Every time I was with him, he just effused love of life and joie de vivre.

And as all of you feel who lose someone close to you, there is a period and I'm going through it

of disbelief. There is a part of me that thinks I'll get a call from him today. You too?

I'm sure every one of you can relate to that. And if I did get a call from him today it would seem like

there was some bizarre thing that happened this weekend that people told me that you would

died and now and now life is back in order. It is part of life death but when it is premature,

it's not in the order of life. So I salute his memory. I was his teacher 40 years ago

and he was a star then and remained such he went to Berkeley undergrad and Georgetown law school.

He was a reader, a thinker, a great speaker, a great writer, a great friend. One more thing,

you can actually look it up a few years ago, he wrote a piece for the Jewish journal

on his giving one of his kidneys to a friend who needed one badly.

And that's Larry. You need a kidney? I got two. Have one.

So I needed to open up with that because it did preoccupy me and still does.
