It can be filibustered voting rights legislation can be filibustered unless 60 senators agree to cloture

So the classic formulation here is that um

You you have a debate

Closure that they vote to close debate

The Republicans refuse to close debate and then

Democrats who are supposed to vote to end the filibuster at least on

voting matters and then you go back and then you pass it with 50 votes and Kamala Harris's

uh

vote and um guess what we know from last week that uh

Kirsten cinema at least made made a speech

As Biden was going to the hill to talk to senators about doing this very thing saying i'm not going to vote to

eliminate the filibuster

And thus you know remember the incredible pain. It was a it's a reeling blow. It's just the huge blow to blow of blows and all that

Um and here it is Tuesday and there um actually going to debate

Of the legislation that they know will fail
