So today, October 31st, 2023, there was a pre-trial hearing in the case of Richard M. Allen,

who of course stands charged with the murders of Liberty, German, and Abigail Williams.

We were at that hearing. By the time you hear this episode, you probably heard the big news from

the hearing, which is once again, Rosie and Baldwin, Bradley Rosie and Andrew Baldwin,

the two original defense attorneys on the case of Argonne. They are no longer on the case.

And the secondary big news, I would say, is that the trial date has been moved back nearly

a year to mid-October of 2024. So now that you know that big news, we're going to

try to go through this whole hearing in detail and tell you what we saw, what we heard,

and hopefully what we make of it all.

So the hearing was at 9 a.m.

This morning, rather it was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

And as we've often noted, the Carroll County Courthouse, where this hearing was held is relatively small.

It has poor acoustics. So if you want to get there and get a decent seat, so you can actually hear

what's happening, you need to get there very, very, very, very early.

So we did. And we weren't there first. There was some nice ladies in front of us and a couple

of people sort of there alongside us. So we waited. I think we all almost got frostbite because
