Lord, we love you. We love your word. Your word is life.

Actually, we're going to go to john 19 verse one i want to give you a what i believe is it's the

holy full vision of our incarnate Lord.

First one, I'm gonna read out of the new King James.

Okay, my iPad has a demon.

So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged him.

If you want to look in a more detailed manner

into that word scourge, it would mean flonged with a lead-tipped whip.

And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on his head.

Holy Spirit, open the eyes of our heart as I read your word, give us eyes to see.

You know, before I continue reading, the prophet Habakkuk says,

I will wait and see, listen to language, what the Lord has to say.

Typically we see something other than what is audible, but the voice of God is not merely audible. It paints the picture on every sense of our spirituality.

So as I'm reading, I'm praying that the fire of the Holy Spirit would purify the heart so you can see the Lord.

So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged him, and the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on his head and they put on him a purple robe.

Then they said, hail, king of the Jews, and they struck him with their hands.

And Pilate then went out again and said to them,

Behold, I am bringing him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in him.

Verse five, then Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns. It was very important.

Notice Jesus didn't just use the towel when he washed feet. He wore it and used it. He is not somebody who merely serves. He is the divine servant. It's one thing to use
