Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

We're meditating on the fourth commandment.

What is a family?

The term family gets applied to nearly every group of people out there. If you shop at a store, they'll

tell you you're part of their family. If you work for corporation, you're part of the

corporate family. If you sign up for a streaming service,

you're part of their family of viewers. It's absurd, really. It's gotten so that we've actually forgotten the definition of a family,

but the church hasn't forgotten. The church still provides a clear definition of what a family means.

Here it is.

A man and a woman united in marriage, together with their children, form a family. That's the definition. It's the definition of the most basic

fundamental human community and every larger community depends on it, like an atom depends on its nucleus.

Our Father who art in heaven, hollow would be be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation

but deliver us from evil, amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed are thou among women.

Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus.

ready for a sinners, now and at the hour of our death,
