On September 19, 24, 33-year-old Leslie Dale Boyle, an active Marion County Sheriff's deputy,

and his girlfriend, Paulina Wright, went out to dinner. It was a Thursday night.

They went to a local Mexican restaurant and had three margaritas each. When they got back to

Dale's house, they put on a

football game and settled in for what was supposed to be an ordinary evening.

The ladies and gentlemen, that evening ended in a way that was anything but ordinary. It ended

in a way that should never have happened. It ended in point of life to death.

25-year-old Paulina Wright was shot and killed that night.

The shooter?

Her boyfriend.
