and we reflect today upon a woman who was on earth for 96 years

and on the throne for 70, a life,

the like of which we will simply never see again.

Whatever perspective you choose to view it from,

the transformation that she witnessed and in many ways

steered our nation through is and always will be unprecedented. Whether it's technology, whether it is the empire, the Commonwealth, the country, her own family's relationship with her public.

From Global's Newsroom, a period of royal mourning will be observed from now until seven days after the Queen's funeral.

Buckingham Palace has set out some details of the King's wishes following his mother's death at the age of 96.

LBC's correspondent Rachel Venables, who's outside the palace, says it's not been confirmed yet when Her Majesty's funeral will be held.

Current estimates are around Monday the 19th of September,

but it means that certainly for the next few weeks

it will be very different behaviours from the royal family,

certainly as they enter that official period of royal mourning.
