Allison tells us the story around the tragic death of Ashley Fallis on New Year's Eve 2011. She was found dead from a gunshot wound shortly after midnight. Ashley and her husband, Tom, were hosting a party at their home in Colorado when tensions reportedly rose, culminating in a heated argument. Tom claimed that Ashley committed suicide, but her family and friends believe she was murdered. Who's right?

Hello, everyone. Welcome back to another episode with the crime and coffee couple. My name's Allison.

0:08.2

And my name's Mike. Hi, Mike. Hey, Al. How are you, babe? I am glad to be sitting here with you in 2025. Happy New Year, everyone. We're back to somewhat regular recording. We were pre-recording a lot. Not that it matters to anybody

0:22.9

watching because you always had your stuff on Sundays and Wednesdays and all that good stuff,

0:26.3

at least as close as I could, because when I have the plan things like way in advance,

0:30.1

you never know what's going to happen. You just never know. Somebody mentioned at some point, like,

0:33.4

hey, just so you know, I think the Apple podcast don't have their uh the extra stuff and i was like

0:38.1

oh crap so i had to go to the website and just hit publish because apple's kind of a pain in the butt

0:41.8

sorry apple if you're listening uh you know the probably the CEO of apple's listening oh i'm sure yeah

0:46.4

yeah he's just just keeping monitor of all the podcasts on the platform but um yeah everything's

0:50.5

going good and uh i i noticed that we don't have a little tree behind me anymore.

0:55.2

We do not. It's all gone if you're watching on the video. We got back from Chicago. We spent

0:59.4

the holidays in Chicago. We were gone for a solid 12 days, which if you're staying at anyone's house

1:04.8

for 12 days, it starts to get a little long. Especially your in-laws. Well, it's, I mean, I love my in-laws. We've been together almost 30 years,

1:11.9

so I've known them since I was a child. But it's, I'm a homebody. And my social battery needs a little

1:18.9

bit of recharge. And we're going there from morning to night, just visiting with everyone, which is

1:25.5

awesome. We had a fantastic time. So I don't want to sound like

1:29.1

I'm ungrateful. I was so thankful to be able to see everyone, the babies of the family, our

1:33.9

friends and cousins. And it's funny because our kids are always like, oh, we'd move to Illinois in a

1:38.4

second. And it's like, you're here for a blip of 12 days. We're on vacation. So it's like the living in Florida, it's always

1:46.7

perpetually sunny. And I know people are like, that's a ridiculous thing. So annoying. It's always so

1:51.2

nice outside. That is a ridiculous thing to complain about. But sometimes it wears on you. Like,

1:56.3

you just want a solid, cloudy day to park yourself on the couch and not feel guilty about it?
