On July 3rd, 1974, at around 8.04pm, police rushed to the home of Walter Allinson, a prominent

attorney, and his wife Carolyn, in East Point, an upscale surburb near Atlanta, Georgia.

They're responding to a report that shots had been fired.

And one of the officers who got that call, Sergeant Callahan, was confused because he knew

that police had gone to that house just a couple of hours earlier.

On that first visit, Walter had told police that someone had stolen a shotgun.
