There is nothing worth living for unless it is worth dying for.

My grandmother lived a life devoted to Jesus, and today her talks have been made available

in their original form.

So you too can be built up through the insights and mysteries God revealed to her throughout

her ministry.

Now without further ado, here is Elizabeth Elliott.

First of all, let me mention three other books.

I appreciate Robert mentioning Passion and purity.

There are two books on the subject of sexuality, one on masculinity called the Mark of a Man,

which is written in an informal notes to my nephew Pete, who is very handsome and still

very single, girls, pictures on the cover.

On the subject of what masculinity is all about, and on the subject of femininity, my daughter's

wedding present, this was what I gave her for a wedding present called Let Me Be a Woman.

Then a real live 20th century story of a disciple, the biography of Jim Elliott, shadow

of the Almighty.

And that book tells in pretty intimate detail some of his struggles over this whole business

of the love life, and the book that Robert mentioned tells in greater detail, my struggles

over that question, the framework of Passion and purity is my love life with Jim Elliott.

I have entitled my talk this morning, The Dating Mess.

I really hear some very sad stories.

I do a lot of traveling around.

I speak to a lot of students, high school and college, a lot of career, people like yourselves,
