Let's

him himself in the first verse of chapter one

and the date of the writing of his prophecy, the 20th year of Artexerses which was the stepson of Queen Esther's

which was the stepson of Queen Esther.

So the book of Esther, if you were writing in a chronological order,

would fit somewhere between Ezra and Nehemiah. The Art Exerxes here is actually the stepson of Esther,

son of Art Exerksies of the husband of Esther.

And so in the 20th year would be in the 20th year of the reign of this particular Arctic

Xerxes, Esther would fit before Ezra in Nehemiah, actually.

So you're in the 20th year of the reign of Art Exercis.
