The scene in the opening of the Olympics, it wasn't a political statement.

It was presented imagistically in story terms with certain cultural elements.

And so we try to answer politically, but when you do that, they just say, well, no, you're

misunderstanding.

And then they start to gaslight and to shift.

What we need to learn to do, and that's why I don't talk about politics that much.

I talk about stories and I try to tell stories,

is because that's the best way to answer.

These stories that have been with us for millennia and that kind of uphold our civilization,

if we can understand them and then present them again to the world

in a way that that is clear,

then those stories win because they're the true story.
