Rachel Morningstar Hoffman, born December 17th, 1984, was a 23-year-old graduate from Florida State University when, on April 17, 2008, someone in her apartment complex complained about the smell of marijuana,

After willingly letting the police search her home, replying yes when they asked if any illegal

drugs were on the premises, officers uncovered just over five ounces of cannabis

and four ecstasy pills tucked underneath the cushions of her couch. Now, while this may not

have seemed like a big deal for some, Rachel was actually under drug court supervision for possession

of 0.9 ounces of marijuana during a traffic stop in February of 2007.
