0:08.4	Steve, thanks for having me back on. A lot of stuff to talk about that's going on in the country, but I want to get right into Los Angeles.
0:16.8	You are a veteran, a Marine Corps officer led Marines in combat in Afghanistan.
0:24.2	One of the most storied units in the history of the United States Marine Corps,
0:28.5	2nd Battalion, 7th Regiment, 1st Marine Division, has been taken from their training cycle at 29 Palms,
0:37.2	put on buses sent to Los Angeles with a opaque
0:42.6	mission, no ammunition in their rifles with authority, apparently, to be able to detain American
0:52.8	citizens, people that are on the periphery of protests awaiting law enforcement
0:59.9	come then to arrest and to make charges.
1:03.0	I just wanted to get your reaction as a Marine officer to the use of the Marine Corps in this
1:08.1	capacity.
1:09.6	Any thoughts you have for the young Marines that are being sent into Los Angeles,
1:16.6	and any perspective as a Marine officer that you would have as a captain or a lieutenant in this circumstance.
1:26.6	Steve, it's not a use of the Marine Corps.
1:29.3	It's an abuse of the Marine Corps.
1:31.3	It's deeply unfair, not just to the residents of Los Angeles, but also to the Marines themselves.
1:38.3	I trained in 29 Palms.
1:40.3	29 Palms is the premier live fire facility for the United States Marine Corps as they train
1:46.4	infantry Marines to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy.
1:50.4	And I know what these young officers and non-commissioned officers are grappling with right
1:55.6	now.
1:56.6	And I think it's twofold.
