If I were to ask you, what is the glory of God? How would you answer that question?

There is a lot of talk about the glory of God, a lot of concern for the glory of God,

particularly in the serious-minded evangelical church. That's a good thing. God's glory is a wonderful thing.

And we need to talk about it in a way that's biblical and accurate. It does not

misrepresent God's character. God will be glorified and His glory will redound for all of eternity.

He is glorified in the creation. He will be glorified in executing justice. And above all things,

God is glorified in saving his people. And he has always loved us. He has bound

his heart to us. And no one is more joyful about our redemption and the glory that that is

than God himself. John and I are going to be talking about these things today and how if you talk

about God's

glory divorced from Jesus and the gospel, that can be a pretty dangerous thing.

And we can actually misrepresent God's character.
