Summary

Sometimes rejection is direction. In this moving message from Mark 12:1-12 and Matthew 21:42-45, Bishop T.D. Jakes confronts the dangerous spirit of entitlement that threatens our relationship with God.

Bishop reminds us that we did not build what we’re standing in. God brings us into places that were already prepared. The question isn’t whether we deserve it; it’s whether we can steward it with humility. Entitlement can masquerade as pride, hide behind scripture, and embody false humility, while God waits to see if we’ve truly grown on the inside.

This is God’s pattern: bringing us into places of growth we didn’t create so we can stretch into His purpose. The greedy heart corrupts expansion, but gratitude recognizes that we don’t deserve what’s been given and transforms everything.

If you’re stepping into a new season, struggling with comparison, or needing a reality check about ownership versus stewardship, let this word recalibrate your heart.
