Hello super great kids and how are you? I hope you're enjoying the sunshine and the

school holiday if you're on a break. I'd rather please because I'm back from my travels

around Italy. It's good to go away and it's always pleasing to come home.

I'll post some photos on our Facebook page of story related images which I saw while

I was away. Our theme is nature and the story this week is called the Dancing Birch

Tree. A birch tree has a silvery white bark and lots of tiny leaves which dance and tremble

in the wind and it makes them look a bit magical. In Russia where this story is from, people

used to think of the birch tree as special, really spiritual or sacred. They called it

the ladder that bridges the gap between heaven and earth. The tree in this story really

is magical but before we begin I wonder if you can name any trees. Now there's a challenge.

How many trees do you think you could think of? Why don't you have a go while we have

a quick word with the grown-ups. Sometimes in life you gotta go big and nowhere goes

bigger than Dubai. A city-sized playground in a vast desert where the tallest building
