Well, as we'll see, the damned never truly ends.

No one's ever going to close the book on this.

So following the official breakup of the damned

in April of 1978, the former members, Captain Sensible, Lou Edmonds, Dave Vanian, John Moss,

and Brian James parted ways to work on projects of their own.

Yeah, that's right, because Rats Gavees, he had already left at this point, and after the second album, Music for Pleasure was released in November, they got dropped from stiff records right before Christmas.

Jelly of the month, Clow. Christmas. no. And then Brian James just like wanted to end the band. He split the band up and this is like the part where all the members of the band are just like really sad looking out a window that's raining and just looking out and just thinking

what's next? Well two of those members would return to a reformed damned in

less than a year Lou Edmonds would go on to join Johnny

Rotten's post-sex pistols band Public Image Limited.

John Moss would eventually join Boy George in Culture Club,
